I started my blog as away of reflecting on my life and journey towards ministry. I started it at the beginning of my probationary period specifically to give me a medium that I was happy writting in. For some reason a journal or diary wasnt going to do that for me. I think thats because I know that others will read what I post and sometimes give feed back - possitive or negative. But the feedback and knowing others are reading it does help - even if sometimes what I post is random or rubbish!

That's why I blog too Chris. I find the act of writing stuff down helps shape thoughts and ideas and the input from others helps loads! It's also great for building community. There are a few people i know who read and comment on my blog and that extended conversation has been great for getting to know people a bit better and extending discussions that you just wouldn't be able to have in real life or real time!

I also like that you can share resources, pictures, audio and video.

Why?
Kinda what Allan said, sometimes the words just need to come out. I've found it to be an incredible support to me over the last few months. I especially love that you can have a crazy idea (which I have many of) and by putting it in your blog it can be refined by many, and the refining is the part of the process I struggle with the most....
